Other areas such as planning policy, environmental regulations and market support mechanisms, are also a part of the job from time to time.
There is considerable scope for the appointed candidate to develop their skills and experience and establish their own specialism within the company. Initially the post will be managed by their Energy’s Principal Consultant on Regulatory Affairs but the level of appointment and ultimate responsibility in the company will be very much dependent on experience. The post is based in Glasgow.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• Good command of English with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
• General computer skills.
• Experience in analysing and interpreting complex technical and commercial regulations.

• Experience with renewable generation.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be expected to help develop the business and take core responsibility for individual assignments. An ability to meet deadlines and a professional standard of client liaison will also be expected.
Qualifications
Because the work is so varied and can be quite specialist our client accepts that many suitable candidates may be self-taught. We would expect candidates to be educated to degree level, but otherwise it is open to the candidate to provide demonstrable evidence of their abilities and experience.
Salary and benefits
The position is available with five weeks annual leave plus eight public holidays. Salary is negotiable. Our client aims to help its staff develop and grow with the company and offers flexible and relaxed working conditions.
