Electrical Engineer, Earthing Experience
Our client is an electrical engineering consultancy formed by a number of experienced engineers who had previously worked within electrical utilities or major engineering consultancies in the power engineering sector. They are extremely busy and growing steadily, and offer excellent opportunities for progression.
Our client adds value to a project by combining a sound base of traditional engineering skills with a strong understanding of the competitive and economic pressures existing in today’s environment. They offer a full range of consultancy and project management services from scheme feasibility through to project implementation.
They are currently looking to recruit for candidates with experience in the Power/Utilities industry, and they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer with earthing experience. Candidates will have a minimum of 4-5 years relevant work experience and must be able to work on their own initiative.
Electrical Engineer (Earthing)
Requirements: You will have suitable experience of earthing issues and standards associated with power networks up to 400kV. You will have a working knowledge of earthing system measurements and earthing system analysis using the industry standard analysis software package CDEGS.
Your responsibilities would include the following:
• Earthing system design and analysis
• Earthing system measurements
• Lightning protection system design
• Interference studies and mitigation
• Feasibility studies
Candidates should possess a relevant qualification, preferably a university degree and/or qualification leading to chartered engineer status and membership of the IET.
You should also possess good inter-personal, written and verbal communication skills.
